The results page also includes a brief timing guide for larger batches. Steeping time stays the same regardless of quantity, but the calculator reminds you to pre-warm large vessels and suggests when to start your brew relative to serving time so every guest gets a cup at the right temperature.
The principle is the same — ratio and time. The main practical difference is that large volumes lose heat faster, so steeping in a pre-warmed, insulated vessel keeps the temperature more consistent during the steep.
You can brew and refrigerate most herbal teas a few hours ahead. Remove the herbs before storing so they don't over-steep. Reheat gently — don't re-boil — when you're ready to serve.
A common rule of thumb for events is to prepare enough for 1.5 cups per guest. Simply set the guest count 50% higher than your actual headcount, or scale up using the multiplier in the tool.
