Our Educational Mission

HerbalBrewGuides.one exists to share accessible, science-aware education about herbal teas, botanical ingredients and brewing techniques. We are an educational publisher — not a medical practice, pharmacy, dietitian service or health clinic of any kind.

Every article, guide, recipe, tool and piece of content on this site is intended solely to inform and to encourage curiosity about the world of herbal teas. Nothing on this site should be read as medical advice, and we ask you to keep that distinction clearly in mind as you explore the site.

Not Medical Advice — Ever

This is the most important thing we can tell you: nothing on HerbalBrewGuides.one constitutes medical advice, diagnosis or treatment of any kind.

Information about herbs, botanicals and herbal teas — including their history, traditional use, chemical constituents, brewing methods and sensory qualities — is educational background only. It does not mean that any herb or tea is safe, appropriate or beneficial for you personally.

Do not use information on this site as a substitute for professional medical guidance. Do not delay seeking medical attention, change a prescribed medication, or begin a new health regime based on anything you read here.

Consult a Healthcare Professional

Before making any change to your diet, supplement routine or wellness habits — especially if those changes involve botanical or herbal ingredients — please consult a qualified healthcare professional such as your doctor, pharmacist or registered dietitian.

Healthcare professionals can evaluate your individual health history, current medications and specific circumstances in ways that a general educational website simply cannot. What is appropriate for one person may be entirely inappropriate for another.

Pregnancy, Nursing and Infants

If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, please exercise particular caution with herbal and botanical ingredients. Many herbs have not been studied in pregnancy, and some that are considered safe in culinary quantities may carry risks at higher or more concentrated intakes.

Similarly, herbal teas are not generally recommended for infants or very young children without specific guidance from a paediatric healthcare provider. Please discuss any herbal product with your midwife, obstetrician or health visitor before use.

Medication Interactions

Certain herbal ingredients are known to interact with prescription and over-the-counter medications. For example, some herbs can affect how medications are absorbed or metabolised by the body. If you take any medication regularly, consult your pharmacist or prescribing doctor before adding herbal teas to your routine.

This is especially important for blood-thinning medications, immunosuppressants, thyroid medications, diabetes treatments and psychiatric medications, though interactions are not limited to these categories.

Allergies and Sensitivities

Herbal teas contain plant material, and allergic reactions to plants are possible. If you have known allergies to plants in the daisy family (Asteraceae), the mint family (Lamiaceae) or any other botanical group, take care when trying herbal teas containing related species.

If you experience any adverse reaction after consuming a herbal tea — including skin reactions, digestive distress, breathing difficulty or unusual symptoms — stop consuming it and seek medical advice. In an emergency, call the relevant emergency services in your country immediately.

Traditional Use Is Not Proof of Safety or Efficacy

We sometimes describe the traditional or historical use of herbs because that context is interesting and culturally significant. The fact that a herb has been used traditionally for centuries does not mean it is proven safe, effective or appropriate for modern use, or for any particular individual.

Our Fact-Checking Policy explains how we distinguish between traditional knowledge, preliminary scientific research and well-established evidence. We are transparent about the level of evidence behind every claim we make.

No Endorsement of Products

When we mention specific tea brands, products or botanical suppliers — whether in editorial content or through affiliate links — those mentions are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical endorsement, and we are not recommending that you use any product to treat, manage or prevent a health condition.

Please read our Editorial Policy to understand how we handle commercial relationships and how they do not influence our educational content.

Questions About This Disclaimer

If you have questions about our educational approach or about anything you have read on this site, we welcome your message via our contact page or at hello@herbalbrewguides.one.

If you have a health concern, please direct that concern to a qualified medical professional rather than to us. Your health matters, and a trained professional is always the right source of personal medical guidance.

Educational only. All content on HerbalBrewGuides.one is provided strictly for educational and informational purposes. Information about herbs, herbal teas and botanical ingredients is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, nor to replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
