Heat fresh, filtered water to around 96°C (just below a full boil — small, steady bubbles).
Measure 1–2 teaspoons of dried tulsi leaves per cup, or a small handful of fresh leaves lightly bruised.
Place the leaves in an infuser, teapot or cup and pour the hot water over them.
Cover immediately — a lid, saucer or small plate keeps the aromatic oils in the cup.
